Editorial Director
I am the editorial director at Yale University Press, and also commission and acquire books in economics, finance, business, and related subjects. I am particularly interested in books that balance authority and clarity; books that fundamentally shape the way people view the world around them. In my career as an editor, I have worked with leading economists, financial leaders, and policymakers; my authors have included Angus Deaton, Ben Bernanke, Kenneth Rogoff, Carmen Reinhart, Raghuram Rajan, Daron Acemoglu, Anat Admati, and others. I have published two New York Times bestsellers as well as a Financial Times Business Book of the Year, and I have worked with numerous Nobel Prize winners. At Yale, I will be building upon a history of important economics and business books, including Daniel Esty and Andrew Winston’s Green to Gold, Richard Thaler and Cass Sunstein’s Nudge, William Nordhaus’ The Climate Casino, and William Baumol et al’s Good Capitalism, Bad Capitalism, and the Economics of Growth and Prosperity.
